How we built an engagement platform powered by AI, spread across four product surfaces.
Bridgebond needed to turn passive team data into real engagement across two apps and hundreds of companies. We built the AI event engine, a configurable content layer, and the multi tenant SaaS infrastructure needed to deliver a personalized experience to every company on the platform.
A walk through the product.
HR engagement was fragmented, manual, and difficult to scale.
Bridgebond's enterprise clients were planning town halls, team check ins, celebrations, and culture events by hand. HR teams spent more than 12 hours a week coordinating all of this, yet fewer than 40% of employees were actually engaging with it.
As the number of companies grew, the workflow became harder to manage. Each company needed its own isolated data, its own administrative controls, and engagement that felt personal, while employees still needed one consistent experience across mobile and web.
Notion and Slack could help coordinate tasks, but neither could turn employee data into timely, personal engagement. Bridgebond needed to move away from manual coordination and toward a smarter, automated system.
What it took to get this right.
- Multi tenancy without compromising isolation. Bridgebond needed to support many organizations on one shared platform, while keeping every organization's data completely separate. Since users could belong to more than one organization or department, access had to stay aware of tenant context at every level. We built access controls and service level tenant filtering so every request only ever resolves within the user's own organization.
- AI engagement without losing organizational context. Bridgebond introduced an AI assistant, scoped to each organization, that keeps an ongoing conversation with every user while staying tied to their own company's context. The challenge was adding AI into an existing multi tenant platform without breaking its authorization and organization boundaries.
- Automating engagement across multiple channels. Bridgebond needed to send celebrations, birthday alerts, weekly digests, OTPs, and other notifications without anyone doing it by hand. We built scheduled notification workflows across email and OneSignal push, with settings organizations can configure themselves, user preferences, retries, and full visibility through audit logs.
- Global administration with scoped access control. Bridgebond's Super Admin role needed visibility across every organization on the platform, while Organization Admins and regular users needed access limited strictly to their own role and organization. Role based authorization and service level tenant filtering enforce these boundaries across the API, and audit logs keep a clear record of platform activity.

Bridgebond AI gives every employee an ongoing, organization scoped conversation with an assistant that's always available right inside the engagement platform.
Multi tenant organization management
Organizations share one platform while keeping scoped access across users, departments, permissions, notifications, and engagement data. Service level tenant filters make sure users only ever see data that belongs to their own organization.
Employee mobile app
A cross platform Flutter app gives employees their own space to manage their profile and preferences, take part in questions and celebrations, and stay connected through automatic push notifications and reminders.
Questions & engagement
Organizations can send out questions from shared libraries or write their own. Employees answer and react to them, giving Bridgebond a simple, structured way to keep engagement going.
HRIS integration & automatic sync
Bridgebond connects to HR systems through Merge.dev, so organizations can link their HRIS, map fields, import employees and departments, and keep everything in sync through scheduled updates and webhooks.
Weekly digest & personalized notifications
Weekly digests bring together celebrations, birthday alerts, questions, and announcements, while users stay in control of their own notification and digest settings. Delivery happens automatically through email and OneSignal push notifications.
Super admin control plane
Bridgebond HQ gets one central place to manage organizations, administrators, plans, feature access, HRIS integrations, notifications, questions, roles, permissions, and analytics across the whole platform.
Role based access & audit trails
A clear permission hierarchy controls what Super Admins, Organization Admins, and regular users can access. Every important action, from API calls to scheduled jobs and integration events, can be captured in the audit system for full traceability and compliance.
Automated celebrations & reminders
Admins can set up celebrations, birthdays, DOB alerts, recurring reminders, and participant flows. Scheduled jobs trigger the notifications automatically, with no manual work needed.
