Expose scams, uncover hidden truths.
Fraud News Network (FNN) is a real-time investigative news platform focused exclusively on financial fraud, investment misconduct, white-collar crime, and investor protection. We built the mobile app that aggregates breaking fraud alerts, investigative reporting, regulatory enforcement updates, and public-record analysis into a single fraud-focused news experience for investors, journalists, attorneys, and compliance professionals.
A walk through the product.
Financial fraud coverage was scattered across regulators, court filings, and generic news — investors had no single place to track it.
Investors, journalists, and attorneys tracking financial fraud had to piece together SEC filings, court records, regulatory enforcement actions, and scattered news coverage themselves — there was no single source built specifically around the mechanics of fraud and investor harm.
Fraud News Network needed a mobile app that could aggregate investigations, public-record analysis, and enforcement updates across everything from real estate syndications and Reg D offerings to Ponzi schemes and securities fraud, and deliver it as breaking news the moment it happens.
What it took.
- Categorizing fraud news across very different domains. Real estate syndications, securities fraud, banking controversies, and consumer scams don't fit one taxonomy. We built a category system — Fraud, SEC, Real Estate, Financial Crime and more — so readers can follow exactly the kind of fraud they care about.
- Turning enforcement actions into breaking alerts. Regulatory and court filings move slower than news cycles. We built a push-notification pipeline so major fraud developments and enforcement updates reach readers as they happen, not days later in a roundup.
- Serving very different audiences from one feed. Investors, journalists, attorneys, regulators, and fraud victims all read this app for different reasons. We built search history, trending topics, and bookmarking so each reader can build their own view of what matters to them.
- Keeping reporting credible without giving advice. The app reports on public-record fraud and enforcement action without crossing into legal or investment advice. We kept that line clear throughout the reading experience — sourcing, not counsel.
